Celebrating Adelaide Bird: Leading with Purpose in and out of Uniform

At Remedicare Education Services, we are proud to celebrate the achievements of our incredible team members, especially when their impact extends far beyond the workplace. One such individual is Adelaide Bird, who has recently been recognised by the Army Cadets for her exceptional leadership and dedication to the Cleveland ACF’s Corps of Drums.

A Leader Through Change

Adelaide stepped into leadership at a critical time. The Cleveland ACF’s Corps of Drums had experienced instability due to a loss of adult leadership. With her trademark resilience, Adelaide stabilised the Corps, restored its musical excellence, and reignited a passion for performance among cadets.

Her love for music and unwavering commitment to developing young people helped attract new members and created a renewed sense of purpose within the Corps. Under her guidance, cadets not only continued their musical journeys but flourished — performing at national parades and gaining recognition at the highest levels.

Mentorship that Makes a Mark

Adelaide’s influence goes well beyond music. Her inspiring mentorship led to the appointment of a Cadet Drum Major, who was later selected as the National Cadet Drum Major during the National Army Cadet Music Camp in April 2024 — a significant achievement that reflects her lasting impact on young lives.

Even after relocating to Windsor to support her husband in his military career, Adelaide continued to lead remotely — organising, directing, and mentoring volunteers from a distance with the same dedication and heart she has always shown.
